Hello enthusiasts!
I'm hoping someone can find a source for the aster pringlei 'Monte Cassino'
in fuchsia and purple. Plant Delights has it in white, but not the other
colors. I fell in love with this flower when I received it in a mixed
bouquet of flowers.
For those who do not know about this perennial, I'll describe it: it is
the typical aster shape, blooms about the size of a quarter with a shocking
lime-green center, multi-branching. It was used as a filler in the bouquet
and is a fresh, refined-looking aster -- more like a daisy. If you arrange
any flowers at all, you will absolutely love this plant. Plant Delights
says: "This is a selected form of our native Pringle's aster that has made
its way into the cut flower industry of Europe. The green stems and
thread-like green leaves make a unique texture to 3', then in September and
October burst open to masses of white flowers...great in the garden or in
arrangements...we promise!" It is described as being hardy in zones 4-9.
If anyone can give me a source for the purple and fuchsia, I would be
elated (plants preferred over seed, please). Otherwise, I'm definitely
getting the white form. Thanks !!
