the literary garden

I think a list for literary gardeners would be a very amusing item -
perhaps the listmaster at mallorn would be willing to set one up? I'm
sure there are all kinds of literary 'theme' gardeners out there -
Shakespearian and bibical and Jane Austin etc etc. Yes, I have no doubt
you will end up with a mish-mash, but then you can call it a cottage
garden and just keep on mish-mashing, ha ha.

Perhaps it would be fun to ask 'theme' gardners of ALL sorts to share
their particular passion. Let's hear it from you gardeners who march to
your own personal drummer (is this redundant?) about the oddball
organizing principles you employ. For example, I know of one gardener
who only grows things that start with the letter in his last name. Yes,
I know, but it works for him. I personally once attempted to collect
all the roses in Empress Josephine's garden at Malmaison. Came darn
close, too. That was a few gardens ago, though. Beth Metty, Munith MI
