Hi Ruth,
I know that Joanie was just ribbing me... I've asked people to stay
on topic in the past, but talking about annuals, "blubs", and woody
plants in relation to perennials (i.e. as companion plants, etc.)
is really fine. But I have argued that this list isn't an appropriate
venue for information specifically about annuals and woody plants.
But yes, I agree -- using a little bit of everything is the best way!
:) I have to be careful though; once all of my annuals die I forget
that those big expanses of unplanted area are really full, so I always
buy too many plants in the spring. I need a bigger yard! :)
