Hello all,
Chantal, have you read Rich Darke's *The Color Encyclopedia of
Ornamental Grasses: Sedges, Rushes, Restios, Cat-tails, and Selected
Bamboos*? This is a fabulous book. I got mine for half price last fall from
Powell's Books (www.powells.com). It was brand new--the only thing wrong
with it was a small tear in the back bookjacket.
For my fellow gardeners in the southeast, Pamela Harper's new book
*Time-Tested Plants: Thirty Years in a Four-Season Garden* is one I have
spent hours pouring over. She has the same growing conditions as I do except
the soil. Her photographs and descriptions have given me alot of ideas for
combinations that I would like to make in my gardens.
I have found a great website in my quest for books
lately...www.half.com. They have books, music, and some other stuff for half
or less. Last week I got a $40. book for $11.47--brand new! They do have
alot of gardening titles, so check it out when you are looking for books.
Lynn, where it is in the 50's today
