Re: Anemone sylvestris - pink form/ A. nemorosa
Hello Marilyn,
Now you are talking.... Anemone nemorosa..... an addiction of the worse kind for
me. Has been for the past 5 years or so. Can not seem to get enough of these
little beauties. Always on the look-out for the next named cultivar. Have them all
through my garden, in the holding area to go into the garden, and in the nursery
inventory. Pink ones, blue ones, white ones, doubles, one color on the back side
of the petals, another on the inside. Ahhhh.... Then there are the Anemone
ranunculodies that look like the nemorosas in foliage, but have bright buttercup
yellow blooms.... doubles, singles, hybrids.
So easy to grow.. no fuss, just plant, give a light mulch, and leave them alone
beneath a small tree or shrub or large perennial. Wonderful with polygonatums and
ferns.
