Paul,
G. Macrorrhizum 'Bevan's Variety' is a very pretty bright rose pink and like
the other macrorrhizums, makes a great showing in shade - even very dense
shade under Douglas Fir trees. It is a nice companion to Hostas and all the
woodland plants we have recently discussed. The bonus is the very fragrant
leaves. I find people's response to the fragrance (I would describe it as
herbal or spicy) at the 2 extremes. They either love it or hate it. It
also has very nice red foliage in fall. I grow it around fall blooming
Japanese Anemones 'Alice' (double pink) and 'Madame Honorine Jobert'
(classic single white).

I don't have them in containers, but I happily discovered that Geranium
macrorrhizum 'Bevan's Variety' >>
Big root Geranium grows well in containers-it is a useful ground cover-that
forms a large thick mat. I like the scent too.
