Re: wedding plans

Hello Nancy; I had a wedding in my yard for my son. One thing I learned
was use lots of annuals. My garden beds are full of hundreds of perennials
however you cannot count on perennial blooms to perform on a certain date.
Murphy's law doen't allow that. However the perennial beds provided plenty
of discussion and entertainment AFTER the ceremony. We built a tall trellis
for the kids to walk to and stand in front of as they were wed. We painted
it white and decorated it with hearts, balloons and hanging baskets in
colors requested by the bride. After all the planning and preparation two
moose came in the night before the wedding and chewed my 30 foot row of
lavender snap peas down to knee level. We were out peas for the vegetable
platters, but no one seemed to notice or care about the garden that much.
The bride and groom got all of the attention. It was a great time. Forget
stress and enjoy your party!
