Re: OT - wedding plans

Karin,
Loved the moose story. Every so often animals remind us that we're
interlopers in their territory.
I've attended one garden wedding, and it was a small garden "owned"
by Ibu, the couple's Balinese cat. You'd think that with all those
wedding guests and music, Ibu would run into the house and hide under
the bed, but she met the occasion with equanimity, walking through the
crowd as though she were another human guest.
Until the ceremony began, that is. We were all listening to the
rabbi when Ibu suddenly noticed the large satin bow on the back of the
bride's dress. The ends were dangling and swaying, and suddenly Ibu
turned back into a cat. She started stalking the ribbons, creeping
across the lawn...POUNCE! The bride was wearing so many petticoats, she
didn't feel the cat leaping and swatting at the ribbons. Nobody under
the chupah knew why all the guests were trying not to laugh, or why all
the cameras were clicking away like mad.
Every wedding should have animals present.

Janet
