I just read this hint about forcing tulips in the Carroll Gardens
emailed newsletter and thought I'd pass it along...
*Plant tulips with their flat sides facing the edge of the pot. This
will produce the first broad leaf on the outside and form a symmetrical
border around each container.
Barb (zone 6/7 Southeastern PA, where the only thing growing is my
impatience for spring)
