I do apologize for writing directly to you, but I have been a little slow
in reading all of my perennial DIGESTS, and just got to reading yours
(partially reprinted below). Since I live in the area you are talking
about (Western Mass - Amherst specifically), and being a devout customer of
Andrew's and an occasional one at Blue Meadow, I am curious as to who and
where the "species iris" grower is -- AND who your relative is who lives in
this area -- or is it you who live in this area? Your note says you are
from NYS z4 -- and that you have relatives who are in the "nursery/garden
center [business] in our family."
Anmyway, Thanks for the corroboration about Andrew's and Blue Meadow. I
feel so fortunate that I live near both of them! They are both the
greatest nurseries to deal with.
