I have used ForestFarm and am always happy with my plants.
===>We've ordered from ForestFarm for many years and have always been happy with the stock supplied. They sell trees and shrubs that we just can't find anywhere else and you can get larger plants than most others will furnish. The shipping costs from Oregon to Ohio are huge, but that is not their fault. If you've got the plant lust, it's worth it.
Ditto Plant
Delights (what a great place).
===>I've never ordered from them, but delight in their catalog. I hear that owner Tony Avent is an entertaining and informative speaker, although so far he hasn't been close enough to me for me to verify this. He's in great demand.
Has anyone dealt with the Avant Gardens in Dartmouth MA? I hit their site
- interesting stuff.
I also poked at Heronswood updated site - what fun!
===>Even better than Heronswood's site or catalog is a tour of their grounds. I had the pleasure of doing this a couple of springs ago when I was at the American Daffodil Society's sponsored World Daffodil Convention in Portland, OR. The sidetrip to the Seattle area was made specificallly to tour Heronswood. Absolutely no disappointments there. I've ordered from them many times too. Do make an appointment in advance if you're planning a trip there.
