RE: [SG] Companion plant suggestions

Nancy, I grow Hyperion with agastache foen.....(?) 'Blue Fortune.'  They
bloom consistently together for at least 6 weeks in my garden, if
Hyperion is kept deadheaded.  The birds love the seeds of the agastache
as well.  GREAT COMBINATION.

Bobbi-this is not a reply at all, nut my own request for suggestions for
Companion plants to go with a row of  daylilies--mostly "Hyperion" (a
birght
yellow) but also assorted others.  They are in a bed about 20 feet long
and 3
feet wide which I created in a hurry when the birds ate all my sunflower
seedlings and someone gave me 30 daylily plants.

But now I don't know what to do to turn this row into a "garden."  The
bed
faces southeast and goes from sun through dappled shade to true shade
(the
last 6 feet).
It is directly outside our vegetable garden and there is a 36"
cyclone-type
fence between them.

Please put your fertile imaginations and years of experience to work and
send
me some suggestions.  I would like to use the fence, if possible, but I
don't
think my first thoughts of sweet peas would work at all.
