There are a few nice white butterfly bushes and they do bloom a long time from late-mid sumer into mid to late fall.

'Silver Frost' -- 5-6 feet tall, silver gray leaves and upright held milky white flowers.
'White Profusion' -- 5-7 feet tall with large pure white flowers.

Another white flowering shrub coming in around five feet tall would be Rosa rugosa 'Blanc Double de Coubert' -- though they are a bit too fragrant.
