Yup. :(
They're a terrible nuisance in my yard, especially with new plants.
I've gone out to find my newly planted trilliums laying in the path,
bulbs strewn all over, or stems broken from their 'frolicking'.
It's kind of disheartening, especially if it's an unusual/hard-to-find/
prized specimen.
I guess that's the price I pay for having a big old oak tree in my yard.
But it could be worse, I suppose. I could have... deer.

I think we're getting your cold weather. Today it was 65, the snowdrops
were open, my shooting stars were coming up, and it was gorgeous. But
they'll be in for a shock on Friday when the predicted *high* will be
20.
Fortunately, I stole some of the neighbor's Christmas trees that were
going to be thrown away, so I'll hack off some of the evergreen boughs
and cover the plants that I'm most concerned about.
