Dear Eva:

I used diatamaceous earth to keep my hostas slug free. Even sprinkled some
on some plants the neighborhood kids liked to get into and told them it was
poisonous.  I knew their parents who knew the truth but it reminded the kids
NOT to pick my flowers without asking first.  LOL.
