Re: on line sources?

Doug,

When I was a new gardener I devoured the Gardens Alive catalogue. It was
my first introduction to chemical-free gardening and a wealth of
information. I still keep one handy as a first line of attack when I need
to address a new pest or disease.

That said, I think many of their products are overpriced, and not all of
their organic remedies are as effective as advertised -- but hey, no one
completely believes any catalogue, right? I do like their rose food and
get sulphur fungicide from them for the roses, as well as the tomato
food. Pricey but it does work and I don't have to worry about chemicals.

I think they do a service to the gardening community by making organic
gardening seem less daunting.
