Paul,
Are you able to sell any species? The old lemon lily, H. flava
(lilioasphodelus) is not easy to buy and always gets comments in my garden.
It is very fragrant and will bloom in shade. It sets a lot of seed and is
easy to grow. This plant will not die in the most severe conditions, drought
for example, but will do much better in some good soil in morning sun. I like
this one and the two very early spring species which bloom with the tulips
and unlike tulips are not eaten by voles.
I have ordered a bunch of species seeds and that is this year's experiment.
I have some of them and they vary quite lot from plant to plant. One is a
wild collected Chinese plant. Left alone in semi-shade gardens, morning sun
is enough, some of these are charming if you like a natural look. They do
not increase rapidly so can be left alone for a long time and bloom well.
Since you sell at open market and try lots of perennials, what sells well in
your part of the country? What perennials of the newer offerings are
accepted? What are you hopeful for this coming season?
BTW here is the link for what Dutch Gardens is using for 'Blueberry Sundae'
picture. My computer screen and the catalog are close in color, no magenta in
the DG pic. Has anyone been growing daylilies, a high bud count would be
needed to justify the space, in containers. I had thought if one of these
shorter plants which are not good garden plants was container grown, the more
tender plants would do well. We store a bunch of pots now, one more wouldn't
hurt.

If you go to Dutch Garden through Google, there are discount coupons at right
for any purchase. I have purchased bulbs, though not recently, here and
found correctly sized healthy stuff. The cost before discount is $14.95 for
the daylily. The import TC list given by Paul is partly present there as
well.
