===>I've never bothered to look them up. They are less than an inch long,
about the diameter of #2 pencil lead--if that big--and the exact same solid
color as a hollyhock leaf. They resemble the inch worms you find on tree
leaves sometimes, although they don't seem to "inch" and aren't quite as big.
This is not to be confused with the giant worms I found at the base of the
hollyhocks in the litter one year--those were some sort of hornworm I think.
