Re: NYT - compost tea goes high tech!

Cheryl,

Victory Garden had composters on this past weekend. It seems they do a good
job for tiny city gardens. If you have a some space they do appear to be a
great nuisance plus you need to chop up the waste.
Sorry I missed it - I would have been interested since one of the things I talk about to grade school classrooms is composting. Some people act as if it is rocket science. ( And I did rocket science at one point in my life!) I have two contained composters that get used for kitchen waste - I have found neighborhood dogs in the pile.

 New host talks to the
audience as if you are half an idiot.
I spoke to Steve Green, the hosta guy VG interviewed recently (I know him from daylilies), and his comment about the whole production crew was unprintable.

There is an accented tool expert also.
He also does the damnedest presentation. If you need help buying a trowel,
he is your guy.
I do like him - dump what's his name and make him the host.

I am disappointed with the new incarnation of VG. It makes
sense, I suppose, that a program supported by commercials (PBS does have
commercials) will try to reach the widest possible audience. Perhaps
gardening is not for TV.
The Brit do a good job and the Canadians do a good job; I think American (as in USA) TV is dumbed down. And PBS is doing the same with their shows; just watch most of the "new" children's programming if don't believe me.
