Yes, Theresa, many, many Lonicera do grow very well in colder
climates, but from all I've been able to find L. nitida isn't one of
them. Tho' Claire says someone where she is is propagating it, so it
may be hardier than thought - it used to be classed as z 8, then 7
and I believe now, 6..soooo maybe it would grow in 4/5...who knows?
I wouldn't think so, but it might:-)
