Van Bourgoudien. I have ordered from them and their plants are decent. But
often what is the best bet for perennials is your local garden center. When
we pay $50 in a catalogue order it does not seem like much. When I spend $50
at a garden center I expect to have a whole cart load of merchandise. Always
remember shipping and handling costs really add to the price. I take the
catalogues with me to local garden centers to see what I want for plants.
Find a gardening friend and exchange plants. I give away a ton of plants
each year just to thin out my gardens. For hostas and day lilies I have had
to go to catalogues because, the local garden centers do not have what I
want. I would not use Van bourgoudien for hostas. If you are interested in
hostas http://hostalibrary.org/index.html - One of growers I do alot of
business with is http://www.naylorcreek.com/ I did alot of business with
Oaks day lilies. Chris from Braintree, MA
