Claire, I have 2 montanas, rubens & Elizabeth and I do not get blooms every
year. These bloom on old wood and are marginal for me. I get lots of
foliage growth. Last year
rubens bloomed nicely, I have it weaving thru a Royal Purple smoke and it is
outgrowing it.
