Re: Echinacea 'Orange Meadowbrite'

Hello,

I ordered 100 Echinacea "Meadowbrite Orange" from Walters. That number is
contingent on the price of the liners. The sales rep said that I could reduce
the order if the price was too high, Walters says that they won't have a firm
price until July on the liners. The liners won't be shipped until September
2004. I don't know how much growth they will put on by spring 2005. The
earliest they would be available from me would be spring 2005. I plan to finish
them in 1 gallon containers.

They were selling a smaller size for this spring but you had to buy a minimum
of 1500!

I hope that they are worthwhile growing. I got burnt on the "Black Eye Stella"
daylilies about ten years ago. They were pricey and did not live up to the
hype. I barely got my money out them and wound up planting what I had left out
in the garden. I never could see what all the hype was for the variety and the
cost wholesale back then was over $5.00 per plant.
