Re: thoughts on these plants anyone?

Hi Donna,

I don't know if it's a misprint or not, but I was intrigued enough to
order one as well. I'm assuming that you're looking at the cultivar
   'Georgia Pancake'?

I also grabbed Amsonia montana 'Short Stack'. Lately I've become
enamored by Amsonia -- it's not often that you can count fall color
as an attribute for a perennial.

I added Amsonia illustris to my yard last year and am eager to see
   what it does.

If you're just getting started, you can't go with anything easier than
   E. rubrum. The E. grandiflorum cultivars do pretty well too, but I've
   found that the E. x youngianum, E. alpinum, and E. x versicolor
selections aren't particularly vigorous in my yard. Another one that
might fare well is E. x warleyense 'Orangekvnigin' -- mine did
remarkably well last year, especially given the fact that I totally
forgot about those two and let the dry out for quite a while. (oops)

> Indigofera kirilowii.... claiming not invasive... thoughts?

Not invasive to my knowledge, and I love the texture and fall color.

This one does phenomenally. In our clay soils it seems that drainage
is key -- I planted one atop a mound and it did great! The one at the
bottom of the mound kept reducing itself by half.

As for the rest, no idea! :)

Chris
