Re: Lily Question/Isabella Preston

Lil,
I've not heard of her. Is there a movement to restore her garden?

Subject: Lily Question/Isabella Preston

Our local Hort group has been doing some digging and it appears Isabella
Preston, developer of many lilies, irises, etc. lived and gardened in our
community. There are still a few residents who remember her. Her old garden
has been cut up but at least not stripped bare. Does anyone out there have
anything they know she developed? or know much about her? Even if we find
something in one of the old gardens, not sure we could identify it.
Think she developed a yellow lily. Others are doing more research about her
but since this group has such a broad range of expertise and knowledge,
thought I'd ask.
