I am in zone 6 and have Japanese Blood Grass planted in a semi-shady spot
in front of my elephant ears. It gets plenty of water in the hottest part
of summer, is about 14 - 16 inches tall and the red is quite pronounced in
the later summer and early fall. I spreads very good too and I have been
able to share a lot of it with the garden club. I really like it however,
so do the grasshoppers. Such is life. JC
