Well, I've had two of my three tries at killing Persicaria affine
'Darjeeling Red'. Really don't know why unless they just got too dry or
hated the hot summer around here. I will try again (never give up until
you've killed a plant at least 3 times).
I also had Phlomis russeliana for several years and lost it last winter. I
enjoyed it, but have to confess I like P. fruticosa best -- love those
white felty leaves. P. fruticosa needs sharp drainage and sometimes does
not make it through the winter -- I take cuttings, they root pretty easily.
Survives best in a sand holding bed. Wants all the sun I can give it,
which isn't full day. P. russeliana also wants sun and good drainage - has
a coarse, largish leaf and interesting flower form, although I was not fond
(personally) of the mustardy yellow flower color. I've never flowered P.
fruticosa -- it does get large and woody, great sprawling over a stone
wall.
Not much help, sorry to say, but all I can offer on your list.
