Amy,
Another advantage of the daylilies is that they will hide the yellowing
foliage of the daffodils if you decide to plant them. An important
consideration if this walk takes you to your home. Who wants to look at
ratty foliage?
What about nepeta? They have grayish foliage, smell good when you brush
against them and have blue flowers which bloom almost all summer. There are
a number of varieties available now.
