In a message dated 98-01-20 01:05:47 EST, you write:
<< I'm with you on the dog patrol. Lots of my friends have severe deer
problems--no dogs. I have one neurotic dog who will chase anything that
moves--one day she even barked at my son's dog slipper--it didn't move.
Anyway, I have deer on the back part of my property, but they don't come too
close when Jess is out. >>
A while back on another list there was a discussion of deterring deer by
encouraging the dog (and its human walker) to "mark" the boundaries of the
property as a deterrent. I don't know whether it works or not, but a degree
of privacy is necessary for both of you to do this.
