So you have not actually seen these poppies "in
person" so to speak, to verify the color?  I know
when I got mine from J & P, I called them and
had them put a note in my file that I reserved
the right to return these until however long it
took them to bloom (in other words, a 90 day
return time was not sufficient; they were
shipped in the fall).  They were willing to do
that.
