I got a recipe for alfalfa tea for roses from a Gardening Mag.
Mix together 10 cups of alfalfa pellets and 2 cups of Epsom salts
in the bottom of a large garbage pail, put the lid on and leave for
3 -4 days.
Give each well established bush about 1 gallon giving less for minis and
more for climbers.
Refill the water in the garbage can. The mix will make two batches then
dump left over sludge in the compost.
I plan to use this this summer.
