I have to tell a story on myself, as I believe the plant discussed here is
the one I found growing at the house we moved into about two years ago; it
looked like something meant to flower, but it took so long, and was so
profusely growing that I convinced myself it had to be a weed, and pulled
most of it up; I learnt to my horror that it was a flower, as some of them
survived my precipitous actions, and sure enough, looked like sunflowers of
a bright yellow color; now needless to say I will leave them alone, and
many of them seem to have returned, lucky me!
One of my favorites is Heliopsis helianthoides 'Summer Sun'.
