Re: More on Knautia macedonica - more pictures

The new Thompson & Morgan catalog has pictures of
both the species and the 'Melton Pastels' on page
100. Described as "-6' excellent border plant
with scabious like flower head." The 'Melton' is
described "11/2" blooms in the softer hues of blue
and mauve, pink, rose, salmon and crimson. After
bursting into flower in late Spring, they continue
to flower their heads off during mild weather
right into late autumn." Guess that makes my
'must have' list too. (On the other hand, do you
suppose any of these copy writers also do adds for
used cars?) Open catalog at your own risk!! I've
been browsing (drooling) through the Jung catalog
that just arrived, and have found a couple hundred
annuals and an equal number of perennials I just
_have_ to have! Just too little space, time and
money! And come the season, too little energy as
well. Such is life.
