Hi Kris -- I have used the purple-toned salvia officinalis -- is that
what you mean? I did have a couple of plants of a spikier blue-blooming
salvia with darkish foliage, but it didn't do well for me the year I
tried it, and it wasn't hardy here. Can you recommend specific plants
to try? Thanks. (No luck for me with the purple-toned oregano either
-- I think it's a lime and gravel lover, which I can't offer.)
