Jaime, I think all of this is true. However, I'm not sure there is yet a
large percentage of gardeners on line to benefit from these sites. In one of
my plant societies of about 1300 member I estimate only about 1/3 are online.
Of course the number increases daily, doesn't it? I don't see how a smaller
mailorder nursery does it though. Catalog preparation, printing, and mailing
is important and then there's the additional expense of web development. And
keeping the site uptodate. It's not like the one-person operations were
sitting around looking for something else to fill their free time. I just
marvel at the number of sites there are and am grateful for them.
