good mail order catalong

Hi all,

For those of us with tight budgets (everybody!) and a little patience (most
gardeners!), I can recommend to mailorder plant sources very highly. Both
companies ship 2nd year plants (they will bloom this year). The plants are
small/young, but very healthy and with terrific root systems.
Both companies will ship at your requested week. I have been ordering from
both for 5 years now and have not been disappointed.

Bluestone Perennials
Madison Ohio
1-800-852-5234
Most plants sold in groups of 3, with groundcovers in a smaller size 6
pack and shrubs and mums in the spring. Catalog free for the asking.

Weiss Brothers Perennials
11690 Colfax Hwy
Grass Valley, CA 95945
1-530-272-7657

Plants sold individually, but the more you buy the less expensive they get.
Catalog is free.

Both companies give realistic appraisals of the hardiness of their plants.
I live in zone 6, and I have lost one yet. Happy hunting!
