How about Zone 9???? I grew up in Oregon, but since I've moved to
Northern California I've learned to grumble about FROST with the best of
them. Its been an unusually cold winter here - actually had to scrape the
windows more than 2 times so far this _winter_. (grin) But the hellebores
are blooming and most perennials are starting to send up shoots again.
