And better, still, than throwing up their hands and closing shop, or
selling out lock-stock-and-barrel to someone who'll simply liquidate the
stock. I've seen both happen to several private specialty nurseries, all
that's left of which are a species or cultivar name found here and there
in catalogues. When one considers what it takes to maintain an active,
viable business -- ANY kind of business -- these days I can't say I
really blame the guys for this transition.
