RE: inside news - Burpee and Heronswood


I don't dislike Burpee at all and order from them regularly.  I just hate to
see such an AWESOME, UNIQUE nursery as Heronswood become "commercialized."
You could truly get personal service there on the phone with people who
really cared about the plants you wanted.  And I fear they will "weed out"
(pardon the pun) the choice plants if they are difficult to propagate in the
interest of efficiency.  

But what I will miss most of all will be simply reading the catalogue for
fun -- searching for Dan's hidden witicisims.
