There are about 40 species of Adenophera, but not many in the trade. Two I see
most often are, number one, A lilifolia. This is one of the taller, more
aggressive (assertive?) and shows up most often at perennial tables. Had one for
some years, dug it out. A potaninii is about the same size, but violet-blue
flowers while A. lilifolia has blue flowers.A couple of the smaller species that
show up in rock garden circles are A. tashiroi and A. triphylla. Any of these ring
a bell with you?
