Re: Japanese beetles

I haven't seen a Japanese beetle here for several years. What I do
have, and I hypothesize that they have replaced JBs in their niche, are
Asiatic garden beetles. They feed at night instead of in the day, but their
grubs live in the soil and do the same nasty things that JB grubs do. The
adults do every bit as much damage as japanese beetles. Some plants are
totally skeletonized, the rest ragged-looking.
