Caterpilla identification

Hi,
After a recent problem with tent caterpillas someone on the perennials list sent me a web site for caterpillar identification.
I currently have a very interesting caterpillar in my lilac tree. It's huge! It's a large light green caterpillar with what looks like a little blue tail. It's quite beautiful {even though it's devouring my leaves!!!} Would love to know what it is. Any caterpillar buffs out there?
