RE: Organic/weed control

Remove the weeds from two acres???? What a huge job.

Start small - or if you have mechanical help, keep it mowed as short as
possible as frequently as possible for a year or two. (Rob a bank to get a
sit-down mower/tractor)

Get advice from the seed dealers and specialists in growing meadows.

One lady here in s.e. Wisconsin who uses her wild acres to grow as many
plants loved by butterfly larvae and adults as she can, covers 3' by 3'
areas with old carpet for a year to kill weeds and grass to make a place for
special plants.

And the Wild Ones ideas for creating gardens from leaves, compost,
newspaper, etc. sounds great. I wish I had room to try it! (I saw a
presentation on this method at a Milwaukee convention).
