ADMIN: duplicate messages and stuff

Hi everyone,

   I'm currently playing around with some new options for the mailing
   list on our server, so there may be some minor hiccups every here
   and there.  These may include messages being posted to the list
   twice, funky headers, and other weirnesses not usually seen here.
