Cohosh

I have been reading the comments on the pale cohosh with interest. I
have been seeing the same problem with mine. I think it is fungus
related. Here in east Tennessee we have had fungus on dogwood blossoms,
hepaticas just melt away, trillium leaves blotched and never come up so
that is the reason I suspect more fungus problems on the cohosh since
the color is splotched(such a word?) and some of the stems just turn
black. I hope it does not kill all of them because it and the black
cohosh are two of my favorite wildflowers.
