That is what is called a country lawn. Anything under three inches counts.
We have all of mentioned plus ajuga creeeping in in places, and thyme
(welcome), and some veronica that send chills up the spines of all tidy
gardeners. If you have adjoining fields and ungardened spaces, you cannot
have weed free grass unless you unleash a ton of chemicals on a regular
basis. It is like windchimes. If you train yourself to ignore them, you can
be happy even if the neighbor has fifty of them. One Anne Landers column, a
long time ago, cited wind chimes as the single most annoying garden feature
in existence, if you they were not your own.
