I saw huge blue leaved siebolidanas everywhere, especially near water.  You 
are right,some are less likely to be chewed and we would like to have those 
same as you.  You had a breeder named Eric ???, who did many blue leaved 
plants with good substance.  He is not as popular here as in the UK but his 
plants were free from slug damage.  There is one plant name 'Kryptonite", I 
think I have that spelling correct.  That is the superman stuff or where he 
came from, something like that.  Well, this plant can be walked on and 
survive, a very good cultivar when you can find it. I bought one once and it 
does not increase rapidly so you would need to buy several to make a showing. 
 Kryptonite is the toughest hosta you can buy or that I have ever owned.  No 
slug ever touches this plant, it is entirely immune.
