Are there normal flowers on the same plant?- There are a few infectious
pathogens that cause malformed flowers in the daisy family- I am most
familiar with those that effect a closely related genus Echinacea.
Your flower looks normal enough except the petals, in Echinacea the disk
flowers will develop green extensions and take on a pincushion like look.
