I was interested that your 'Lucifer' is 5' tall. All the books,
catalogues etc seem to say 1 metre but I think it grows taller too.

I have a Crocosmia which I once bought as 'Lucifer' and which I've been
trying to identify. It has the pleated leaves of 'Lucifer and it's just
about 5' tall but with very vivid dark orangey red flowers, dark red
stems and upward facing flowers like 'Lucifer'. I think it might be
'Bressingham Blaze' (which again the catalogues say is 1 metre but I
don't believe them!). Does anyone else have this plant and does it have
the same habit as 'Lucifer ' but more dark orange and red rather than
just red?
