Hello Walt,
    We have not truly had a "normal" winter here for the past 5 years now.
More like zone 7 than anything else. But then, we received 3 freezing temps
in one week during mid-May. Now that certainly was not "normal", either. You
think you are going to get away with something during winter, and then
spring comes along and freezes you out.... we had quite a few plants around
here that were not happy campers this past May.
    Giving me encouragement to try some things that I normally would not
have in the past. Probably will drop back to our normal -10 to -20 and kill
off the experiments before long. But I will have had fun trying and some
will end up surviving, I will have learned something, and I will have had a
good time. On occasion it is books "0", Gene "1".
